For the safety of all our users, we are taking the following bear deterrent measures.
  • Before orienteering and other similar activities take place, facility staff patrol the course and set up bear-repellent incense sticks.
    Simultaneously, use a detonator pistol (firecracker) at a fixed point.
  • We provide safety briefings and lend bear bells to groups conducting activities that involve entering forest areas, such as orienteering.
  • I set up bear-repellent incense and a radio that was left on at the campsite.

Remarks
  • Staff from the community center will provide explanations regarding the lending of tableware, the exchange of food ingredients, and cleanup.
  • The outdoor cooking area tables are covered with tents, so they can be used even in rainy weather.

forest of adventure

It's a utility pole.

Example
  1. Divide the group into two.
  2. One group will start from the left.
  3. The groups cross paths on the logs, making sure not to touch the ground, until they reach the opposite end.

It would also be fun to rearrange them by "birthday order" or "height order."

Giant Seesaw

Example
  1. While maintaining your balance so that neither end of the seesaw touches the ground, get on from the center.
  2. Ultimately, the entire group will be on board.

There are many variations on how to do it.

Floating platform crossing

Example
  1. Use everyday objects to obtain the rope that will take you across the floating platform hanging in the center.
  2. Use the rope to cross to the floating platform without touching the ground.
  3. Those who cross to the floating platform cannot return to their original location. However, they can assist as spotters.
  4. If you fall from the floating platform, the fallen object will return to the starting point and you will have to start again.
 
 

Trustfall

Example
  1. The challenger stands facing backward on a platform about 1 meter above the ground.
  2. The challenger falls backward into the arms of their teammates, who are lined up facing them.

【Important Notes:】

  • Ensure that participants receive sufficient training and guidance beforehand, and that they are not treating this as a joke.

Mohawk Walk

Example
  1. The entire group must cross the cable without falling off.
  2. Those who fall will return to the starting point and join the back of the pack.

[Prohibited Rules]

  • Participants not on the cable are not allowed to help. However, for safety reasons, they may act as spotters (supporters) to assist.

Open-air Museum

We are exhibiting a total of 14 valuable and outstanding works of art, including outdoor sculptures created to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the facility's opening and works created for the 50th anniversary celebrations.
This was installed to increase young people's interest in arts and culture and to provide them with an opportunity for further self-improvement.
